We are happier and more enjoyable. As expected, there was an incredible decline first. That drop is now going up. Perhaps one of the best news is that there is no major health problem in the automotive industry, although production continues. In other words, we both produced and prevented the spread of the disease. In September, the expectation is very high. Even our own companies have an occupancy rate of nearly 90 percent. It was something we didn't expect to happen this way. When we look at it, there is an incredible density in almost every company in the sector. Some players in the industry have returned to 3 shifts and are producing day and night. Some of them even started to work overtime, ”he said.

As the automotive industry, we believe that we passed a very good test in the first moments of the epidemic. We produced visors and health products in our factories when everyone was at home. Now, we are doing high-level studies in terms of social distance and health measures. We pay attention to regular tests and immediate isolation. On the production side, we look at the production forecasts of OEMs through our own members. As far as we can see there, the period of September, October, November and December varies between 90 and 92 percent in terms of occupancy. Translating the current situation in global and European markets Alper Hook“For the last 4-5 years, the global automotive industry has been producing between 92 and 97 million units. We estimate that this figure will decrease by 2020 percent in 22 to 72 million units. This is actually an incredible fall. Considering the average of the last 5 years, the production numbers in Europe were at the level of 22 million. This year, we expect the production in Europe to be completed at the level of 16 million units. So, there is a 13 percent drop in the world and a 15 percent drop in Europe. Despite all this, it is predicted that in 2021, 13 million vehicles will be produced in the world with an increase of 81 percent, and a vehicle of 18,5 million will be produced in Europe ”.

TAYSAD Chairman of the Board, Alper Kanca, “The loss of supplier industrialists in exports is less than the main industry. It can mean the following; Vehicle sales are still not fast in Europe, but there is an acceleration on the production side. Therefore, the parts they bought from us go to production there but are not yet sold ”. TAYSAD Vice Chairman of the Board Kemal Yazıcı “In June and July, we saw that the supplier industry recovered better than the main industry in terms of exports. The next four months will produce much more of OEMs in Turkey and we anticipate that they would increase their exports significantly compared to previous months. In this context, we believe that the export loss of $ 7 billion in automotive sector exports in 4,8 months in the January-July period will tend to stall ”.
“Our European colleagues asked us 'How do people buy vehicles?' he asks "
Evaluating production and domestic market performance Alper Hook He continued as follows: “We see that we have achieved the last year in terms of automotive production performance in June-July. Of course, we are about 2017 percent behind the best in 37. Despite this, high demand in the domestic market triggers production. Turkey's domestic market did not expect this big will explode. There is an incredible demand. A painting in which we are completely separated from the world. We talk to our European colleagues and they ask "How do people buy vehicles?" We think Turkey needs to eliminate its accumulated several years. We're fine even in April-May. When we look at June, sales increased by 65 percent compared to last year, and 384 percent in July. When we look at 2017, there is a 30 percent decrease. The size of these rates is of course also due to the fact that 2019 was not a very good year. "

The average year in our 32 factories in 453 cities Turkey's economy $ 25 billion turnover, we contribute 10,6 billion dollars in exports. On the other hand, with the developing technologies, the importance we attach to R&D is increasing day by day. TAYSAD members have 187 R&D and Design Centers. The R & D ratio of our turnover well above average in Turkey with 2,5 percent. We fully believe that we will see the impact of the investments made in R&D in the next 3-5 years. We have our own designs and patented technical solutions. In 2019 alone, we brought 37 new patents and 30 utility models to the automotive industry. Of course, these are not at high levels compared to developed countries, but they are very important indicators. As Automotive Supply Industry, we know the importance of new technologies and work on new parts and systems. all OEM parts on production in Turkey Companies with this that we are ready and willing to work will continue to be expressed in different platforms and we are not. In order to accelerate this issue, OEMs and Suppliers must act together arm in arm and provide the necessary support in their respective Ministries. "
