China Launches First Driverless Tram

The world's first energy-stocking autonomous / driverless tram, CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co Ltd. came out of his company's production set. The tram in question can be used as a fast public transportation vehicle at airports or metro systems.

This high-energy super-capacitor-equipped tram consists of seven wagons and can carry a maximum of 500 passengers. The vehicle, which has an innovative autonomous driving technology, can be fully recharged in 30 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour.

CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co Ltd. Nie Wenbin, general manager of the company's research and urban rail system development department, announced that this tram will be available in the first place at the International Changshui Airport in Kunming, the capital of the southwestern Chinese province of Yunnan.
