The Metropolitan Municipality, which increases the comfort in transportation with the arrangements it made in the main streets of Bursa, continues its asphalting and improvement moves in the districts. Stating that works are continuing at many points in Gürsu, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that the district will become more livable and preferable.
Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş, Bursa Deputy Atilla Ödünç, AK Party Gürsu District Chairman Zekeriya Hacıoğlu, Gürsu Mayor Mustafa Işık, together with the former Gürsu Mayor martyr Cüneyt Yıldız, made examinations on the street where the name was given. On the 2400-meter-long street, 12 thousand meters of curbs, 17 thousand 500 square meters of parquet, 1500 meters of concrete, 5 thousand cubic meters of excavation and 3500 cubic meters of sub-foundation work have been started. Milling, PMT and asphalt applications will be carried out on the double lane street, approximately 2 thousand 900 meters long and 8.5 meters wide.
The target is a more livable district
Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş drew attention to the fact that Gürsu district will cross the 100 thousand population limit in the near future. Stating that Gürsu is an agricultural warehouse and intertwined with the city, Mayor Aktaş stated that the district will grow faster and healthier with the new zoning arrangements to be made in the near future. Reminding that Şehit Cüneyt Yıldız Avenue is the entrance street from Bursa, Mayor Aktaş stated that the 2400-meter street was in need of maintenance due to intensive use and construction. President Aktaş said, “A price of 2400 million 5 thousand TL plus VAT will be spent for the works to be carried out on the 500 meter street. In the meantime, we made the expropriation program related to the improvement of the hospital road that our Gürsu citizens are waiting for. I hope we will start the process soon. We will start the work in 2021 in the square, which we have built in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality and Gürsu Municipality. In Yenidogan, we had a multi-storey car park and a market place that we did by the Metropolitan Municipality. It will especially benefit our fruit and vegetable producers. This project has reached the final stage. There was a demand regarding the closure of the upper floor. There was some delay due to this. The works will come out in cooperation with our district mayor and our organization. I believe that Gürsu will be more livable and preferable with its 100 thousand inhabitants. "Good luck," he said.
Bursa Deputy Atilla Ödünç stated that he is pleased that Gürsu district, whose population is close to 100 thousand, receives the services it deserves by the Metropolitan Municipality. Stating that the Metropolitan Municipality and Gürsu Municipality are working in harmony, Ödünç noted that the work on the boulevard is one of the good examples of this.
Gürsu Mayor Mustafa Işık, on the other hand, wished the renewal of the martyred Cüneyt Yıldız Street to be beneficial for the district and thanked the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Alinur Aktaş for his support. Stating that the street is growing day by day and renewals are inevitable in parallel, Işık stated that the entrance to the district will gain the value it deserves at the end of the works.
