Training Simulator Korkut-ES, developed by HAVELSAN, for the Low Altitude Air Defense Weapon System “KORKUT” with Self-Propelled Barrel

Develops simulators for military and civilian platforms used in the field, who led the field in Turkey, HAVELSAN has claimed responsibility for producing KORKUT air defense system simulator. HAVELSAN, which has an important position in personnel training processes with the simulators developed in line with the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces, has also responded to the needs of air defense units with KORKUT-ES.

Korkut Training Simulator, developed by HAVELSAN engineers, was installed in Konya Air Defense School and Training Center Command Air Defense Training Center. It is stated that the Korkut-ES system will allow training of 6 different air defense and command control systems in an independent or integrated configuration.

The KORKUT Mass Production Contract was signed between the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey for Defense Industries and ASELSAN on May 19, 2016. The first delivery within the scope of mass production of KORKUT systems was made in March 2019. With the last deliveries, a total of 13 KORKUT Low Altitude Air Defense Weapon Systems were delivered to the TSK. HAVELSAN developed and delivered Korkut-ES as a subcontractor in the project where ASELSAN was the main contractor.

KORKUT Self Propelled Barrel Low Altitude Air Defense Weapon System

The KORKUT System is an air defense system developed with the aim of effectively performing the air defense of the mechanized units and the mobile units. The KORKUT System will serve as teams consisting of 3 Weapon System Vehicles (SSA) and 1 Command Control Vehicle (KKA). KORKUT-SSA has the ability to throw 35 mm Particle Ammunition developed by ASELSAN. Particle Ammunition; It allows 35 mm air defense cannons to perform their duties effectively against current air targets such as air to ground missiles, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
