Three Thousand Ton National Submarine Floating Pool Coming

The haircut and first welding ceremony of the 3-ton submarine floating pool, which is in the fleet of the Turkish Naval Forces Command and will serve the new submarines to be built, was held at the Hicri Ercili Shipyard.

While the contract was signed between the Ministry of National Defense General Directorate of Shipyards, Asfat and Yütek Shipbuilding, the submarine floating pool classed by Türk Loydu will be built at the Hicri Ercili Shipyard.

At the haircut and the first welding ceremony, Emre Dinçer, General Manager of Shipyards, Esat Akgün, General Manager of Asfat and Yücel Tekin, General Manager of Yütek Shipbuilding, as well as Yalova Port President Hakan Pekşen, Chairman of the Board of the Türk Loydu Foundation Cem Melikoğlu, Pendik Shipyard Commander Rear Admiral Recep Erdinç Yetkin , Gölcük Shipyard Commander Rear Admiral Mustafa Saygılı and İzmir Shipyard Commander Officer Colonel Korkut Şen were present.

First being built

YUTE Shipbuilding Director General delivered a speech at the ceremony, Yucel said only that they are a company engaged in various shipbuilding projects in shipping since 2001, "We are proud to be a part of the submarine floating dock to be built for the first time in Turkey," he said. While it was learned that the submarine floating pool would serve all submarines including national submarines (MİLDEN) and Preveze class, it was reported that the pool was the only one in the world in its size.

180 kilometers of cable

In the construction of the submarine floating dock, 2 tons of sheet metal, 500 tons of profile, 480 tons of pipes, 320 pumps of various capacities, movable roof and door system, 38 kilometers of power and data cables will be used.
