Indigenization Movement in Turkish Civil Aviation Employment!

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu stated that due to the rapid growth of the Turkish civil aviation sector in the last 17 years, the sector had to meet some of the trained personnel need from abroad, “In our civil aviation sector where more than 295 thousand people are currently employed, foreign national pilots are in flight and cabin crew. the rate of officials is 11 percent. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu, stated that the aviation sector, which develops in parallel with global developments, has become the driving factor of economic development, and said that one of the most important indicators of social welfare is the aviation sector. Karaismailoğlu explained that due to the rapid growth of the sector in 17 years, some of the trained personnel need of the sector had to be met from abroad, and the increase in training opportunities for the aviation sector slowed the recruitment of foreign personnel substantially.

Karaismlailoğlu also pointed out that the Kovid-2019 epidemic has negatively affected all areas, including the aviation sector, since December 19, and underlined that the necessary mitigating facilities have been provided by public institutions and organizations in order to minimize these negativities. Karaismailoğlu stated that with the increase of educational opportunities in civil aviation day by day, trained personnel are provided to the sector, and we aim to increase the employment of Turkish nationals in the sector with this study.
