A total of 12 thousand citizens became members of the smart bicycles, which attracted record attention, and everyone who showed interest was thanked.
The Smart Bicycle Rental System (SAKBİS), implemented by the Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality, exceeded the number of leases of 100 thousand in a short period of one year. Providing citizens with an environmentally friendly, healthy and economical transportation model with 15 stations and 120 smart bicycles in various parts of the city, a total of 12 thousand citizens subscribed to SAKBİS in a year.

In the statement made by the Department of Transportation on the subject, “Despite the existence of bicycle culture in our city for a long time, the Smart Bicycle System (SAKBİS), which attracted great attention by our citizens, exceeded the total number of 100 thousand leases in a short period of one year. A total of 12 thousand citizens have subscribed to smart bicycles, which give young people, families and groups the habit of both doing weekend cycling events and using bicycles as a means of transportation. SAKBİS, which attracts great attention by our countrymen, provides our people of all ages with the opportunity to have a pleasant time, to do sports and to have a healthier transportation.
