Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu announced that the August bills of mobile phone subscribers living in districts and villages in the disaster zone damaged by the flood in Giresun will be postponed for one month. Karaismailoğlu stated that the fixed phone and internet fees provided by Türk Telekom will not be charged for one month from our citizens affected by the flood and these citizens will not pay bills in August.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu, stated that after the flood disaster in Giresun on August 22, the citizens in the region experienced great difficulties and that they took all the steps to help the people of the region and relieve their troubles. Stating that the state is with the citizen with all its means, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “The problem of the citizen is our problem. We are with one heart and stand by our citizens in the region. Our state is strong. We have survived many episodes. We will overcome this problem in cooperation, ”he said.

Underlining that the flood is one of the major natural disasters in the region, Karaismailoğlu said, “We are carrying out an extremely diligent work to eliminate the traces of the disaster in the city. We do everything we can for the locals in the best way possible. "We are trying to do whatever can be an ointment for our citizens' wounds."

GSM Bills Are Postponed for One Month

Pointing out that the importance of communication infrastructure has increased even more in disaster situations, Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they held meetings with the managers of GSM operators and used the following statements:

“In times of disaster, citizens' need for access services also increases. The August bills of our citizens in the disaster area, including our districts and villages, will be postponed for one month if they request. However, our citizens will be able to demand that their bills are not delayed if they wish. "

Türk Telekom will not charge disaster victims for fixed telephone and internet services in August

Minister Karaismailoğlu, declaring that as a result of the negotiations with Türk Telekom, an agreement was reached regarding the fixed line and broadband internet fees of the citizens in the region, “As a result of the agreement we made regarding the access services provided by Türk Telekom, the operator, will not charge during. Our citizens will not pay fixed phone and internet fees in August, ”he said.
