He opened a tour with Chicago to support the release of Rita Wilson; He said he was a lifelong fan of the group. “I'm excited to open up to Chicago, a band that makes up most of my music life. Whether I was listening to the band while sliding down a hill or driving in my car, I always moved to joy immediately, melodies and lyrics. ” Wilson said.

A year later, Wilson invited "Liner Notes: Songwriters, Stories and Music with Rita Wilson and Friends" and other singer / songwriters to join the event. The show at the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles included Patty Smyth, Desmond Child, Jeff Barry, Kristian Bush, among others.

With his third album, Bigger Picture, he shot directly from his personal life for the Wilson theme. Released on September 28, 2018, the album reunited with producer Fred Mollin (Johnny Mathis, Jimmy Webb and Kris Kristofferson); the couple first collaborated on their first album AM / FM in 2012.
