Tüpraş Izmit Refinery received COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate within the framework of infection prevention and control procedures set by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE).
Tüpraş İzmit Refinery, which has carried out the infection prevention and control procedures determined by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE), has successfully passed the audits and has been awarded with “TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate”. Tüpraş's certification process continues in İzmir, Kırıkkale and Batman refineries, which has rapidly implemented many measures to protect its employees and stakeholders in all refineries and administrative offices from the very beginning of the process.
All measures taken within the frame of TSE COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate procedures at the Tüpraş Izmit Refinery were subjected to rigorous inspection by TSE inspectors. Applications in many different areas such as production areas of Izmit Refinery, control of personnel services, pandemic training, waste management, suitability of offices, hygiene equipment, dining hall, rest area, sterilization of toilets, control of service providers were inspected in detail. As a result of the evaluation, Izmit Refinery was entitled to receive the COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate.
Within the scope of the ongoing works, Tüpraş Crisis Desk, which is gathered every week with video conferencing method, evaluates the developments in refineries and affiliates and takes decisions on the perfect implementation of the necessary actions. From the first day against the risks caused by coronavirus, we have complied with the directions of scientists and the Ministry of Health, especially the World Health Organization. We closely followed all the developments regarding the coronavirus crisis and determined our steps by taking into consideration the direction of Koç Holding Crisis Center.
