Number of Passengers Using Airline in June was 2 Million 750 Thousand

The General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) announced the airline, aircraft, passenger and freight statistics for June 2020.

With the start of the controlled normalization process, after the domestic flights started on 1 June, the international flights were gradually restarted as of 11 June, covering some countries.

In line with these developments, in June 2020;

The number of aircraft that land and take off at the airports; Total aircraft traffic, which was 38.550 in domestic and 8.210 in international flights, was 55.814 with overpasses.

This month, Turkey serving domestic passenger traffic at airports across 2.403.971, international passenger traffic was 346.448. Thus, total passenger traffic with direct transit passengers was realized as 2.750.992 in the said month.

Airports freight (cargo, postal and luggage) traffic; In June, it reached a total of 25.925 tons, including 89.248 tons in domestic lines and 115.173 tons in international lines.

7.068 AIRCRAFT, 604.662 PASSENGERS SERVED FROM ISTANBUL AIRPORT IN JUNE

The aircraft traffic that landed and took off at Istanbul Airport in June was 4.100 on a domestic and 2.968 international flights.

Passenger traffic was 455.528 for domestic flights and 149.134 for international flights.

According to the first six months (January-June) realizations;

Aircraft landing and taking off to airports became 225.776 on domestic flights and 125.105 on international flights. Thus, a total of 464.297 aircraft were serviced with overpasses.

Domestic passenger traffic in airports across Turkey of 21.899.134, 14.552.909 of the said period where international passenger traffic with direct transit passengers totaled 36.486.729 total passenger traffic.

During the period in question, the freight (cargo, post and baggage) traffic of the airports; 185.848 tons in domestic lines and 851.914 tons in international lines.

In the first six months of Istanbul Airport, 96.523 aircraft and 12.907.946 passenger traffic were realized.

During the first half of 2020, there were 16.219 aircraft traffic at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, where general aviation activities and cargo transportation continued.

Thus, a total of 112.742 aircraft traffic occurred in these two airports in the same period.
