The project works prepared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of National Education for the renovation of the pashids in the mausoleums belonging to the Ottoman Dynasty continue without slowing down.
The protocol signed in November 2016 was updated in order to make the works carried out within the scope of the "Pushush Project" of the two Ministries more efficient and to strengthen the cooperation between the relevant institutions.
The project, in which the renovation works of the Ottoman Dynasty tombs were initiated by the Institute of Maturation, envisaged the renewal of 23 phasi in 158 tombs in Istanbul.
Within the scope of the project, processes related to the production of peach were carried out by Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Eskişehir, İzmir, İstanbul, Kayseri, Kütahya, Samsun, Trabzon Maturation Institutions under the coordination of the Istanbul Beylerbeyi Sabancı Maturation Institute.
With the last protocol, the restoration and conservation of the piers in the inventory of the Istanbul Tombs Museum Directorate, the preparation of the pattern archive, the photo shootings, the assignment of master teachers and teachers from the branches of arts requested from the artists registered in the Ministry of Culture, Culture and Tourism Information and Document Center, and educational activities. The issues of providing the materials to be used and the bookings of the works have been renewed.
New Protocol Will Speed Up The Project
The name given to the veils used to cover the sarcophagi in the tombs has been used for centuries in Islamic civilization as an expression of respect for the deceased.
In the Ottoman period, which were produced with various ornamentation techniques, those processed with the “Maras Job” technique show characteristic features.
It is aimed that the signed protocol will be an important step in achieving the goal of protecting this heritage, reviving it and transferring it to future generations and accelerate the project.
