Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has built a pedestrian platform similar to the European examples to allow pedestrians to cross the street safely on the Cyprus Martyrs Street of Alsancak Talatpaşa Boulevard. Figurative patterns from the historical roots of Izmir were studied on the raised pedestrian crossing.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has built a platform in Alsancak Talatpaşa Boulevard, one of the areas with the highest pedestrian traffic, on the axis that connects Kıbrıs Şehitleri Avenue to Dominik Street and Ali Çetinkaya Boulevard to make pedestrian priority. Within the scope of the elevated pedestrian crossing project, a 34-meter-long pedestrian platform similar to the European examples was created.

The visibility of the pedestrian platform was increased by drawing Izmir-themed figurative patterns with special paints. The roads and sidewalks were brought to the same level, taking into account the accessibility of disabled and elderly citizens. Thus, while the area gained the appearance of a mini square, pedestrians were able to cross the street without going up and down the sidewalk.

Turan Solar Park has also been renewed

Turan Solar Park, located at the intersection of Talatpaşa Boulevard and Ali Çetinkaya Boulevard with the elevated pedestrian platform work, was also renewed. The park, behind the bus stops and unnoticed, was made visible with the arrangements made. By preserving the existing green areas, the amount of green areas, which was 422 square meters, was increased to 426 square meters. In addition, a linden, 2 magnolias, 2 ash trees, 2 pramidal ornamental spindles, 3 pramidal boxwoods and 115 blue cypresses were planted in the park.
