Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that the project works for the renovation of the Çamlıbel Fishermen Shelter in the Mediterranean district of Mersin, Mersin, stated that they would dispose of the shelter in accordance with Mersin and Akdeniz Municipality.


Karaismailoğlu visited the shelter as part of his program in the city and chatted with members of Mersin Amateur Fishermen Association and tradesmen.

Giving information about the project planned to be held in the shelter in his speech, Karaismailoğlu used the following expressions: “We hopefully started the project work to overhaul the Çamlıbel Fishermen Shelter in a way that suits Mersin and Akdeniz Municipality. Hopefully, we will try our best to have a marina, park, living area that is fully equipped with the addition of wharf where water sports are also performed, befitting the Mediterranean and Mersin. ”

Stating that they are in coordination with Akdeniz Municipality during the project process, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “The advice and opinions of Akdeniz Municipality are very important to us. I hope there will be a nice project taking into account their opinions. When the project is over, we will share it with you, and hopefully we will follow the construction of it and finish it as soon as possible. " said.

Lütfi Elvan, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Plan and Budget Committee, emphasized that the shelter has lost its old vitality in recent years, “We will make Çamlıbel a center of attraction in Mersin, be sure. Our Minister of Transport and Infrastructure also supports us, God bless him. I hope this place will be a magnificent, lively place where people can easily come and spend time and have fun. ” he spoke.

Reminiscent of the National Garden project near the shelter, Elvan stated that the two projects will be integrated.

Minister Karaismailoğlu and his accompanying people also visited the Karaduvar Fishing Lodge.
