The meeting held online under the presidency of Zonguldak Governor Mustafa Tutulmaz, West Black Sea Development Agency Secretary General Muhammed Ali Oflaz, Zonguldak TSO President Metin Demir, Çaycuma TSO President Zekai Kamitoğlu, BAKKA experts and project consultant team attended.

Logistics Centers are defined as areas in which all activities related to national and international transportation, logistics and load distribution are carried out by many operators. With the Filyos Valley Project, in which Filyos Port is located, an important load mobility and transportation in different modes of transportation are expected in the region.

In this context, it is planned to analyze the logistic center requirement within the scope of the storage and transfer center, which is likely to be needed in the back area due to the industrial and commercial mobility that will occur due to the Filyos Port with an annual capacity of 25 million tons / year and the industrial area of ​​597 ha, behind it. Accordingly, a research and preliminary feasibility report has been prepared by the Western Black Sea Development Agency.

The project team made an informative presentation about why the project was carried out, what its objectives were, and the expected completion times. The importance of the Filyos Valley Project for the future of the region was pointed out by the Governor Mustafa Tutulmaz and it was emphasized that local actors had important duties in this context. Accordingly, it was stated that all kinds of support will be provided to the Logistics Center Report initiated by BAKKA as the Governorship and local institutions. The meeting ended after other participants expressed their expectations and suggestions about the project.

The project is expected to take approximately 4 months and the Research and Pre-Feasibility report to be prepared within the scope of the project will be prepared by the end of November.
