IMM Takes Precautions For The First Friday Prayer In Hagia Sophia

IMM took a series of precautions before the first Friday Prayer to be performed in Hagia Sophia Mosque. IETT will make free public voyages with 25 buses on Kazlıçeşme - Yenikapı - Sultanahmet route. In Yenikapı-Kazlıçeşme-Gülhane, İSPARK parking lots will provide free services. 25 thousand water, masks, disinfectants and disposable prayer rugs will be distributed in the area. Joint renewal work in Haliç will be stopped.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) convened under the chairmanship of IMM Secretary General Can Akın Çağlar in order to avoid any problems in the first Friday Prayer to be performed on July 24 at the Hagia Sophia Mosque. At the meeting held in IMM Saraçhane building, a series of measures were taken to prevent problems that may occur in Eminönü - Yenikapı - Kazlıçeşme and Sultanahmet Squares.

IETT WILL MAKE A FREE RING TIME

The decisions taken by the IMM management are as follows:

• IETT will make ring buses with 25 buses on Kazlıçeşme - Yenikapı - Sultanahmet route. Transportation will be provided free of charge.
• There will be no tram services on the fork of Eminönü - Sultanahmet - Beyazıt.
• Joint work on the Golden Horn Bridge will be stopped.
• The number of Eminönü Fire Station staff will be increased; 1 vehicles will be positioned in Yenikapı - Kazlıçeşme Squares and 2 vehicles in Sultanahmet Square.
• In Kazlıçeşme - Yenikapı - Sultanahmet Square - Beyazıt Square - Eminönü line, 25 vehicles will be provided with 100 personnel, and the citizens will be guided safely.
• Kandil Restaurant and BELTUR Mobo Buffet located in Gülhane will be closed on Friday, July 24, between 07:00 and 17:00.
• İSPARK parking lots in Yenikapı, Kazlıçeşme and Gülhane will provide free services; the number of personnel in the area will be increased in order not to interrupt the service.

MOBILE BUFFET AND TENTS WILL BE ESTABLISHED

• The sound system of Fatih Mosque, Merzifonlu Kara Mustafa Paşa Mosque and 2 mosques in Yenikapı Event Area, located in Kazlıçeşme Square, will be checked and maintained, and a mobile fountain will be installed.
• 4 to Yenikapı; In the central points such as Kazlıçeşme, Beyazıt Square, Eminönü Square, Cankurtaran Sultanahmet entrance, a total of 6 3 × 3 tents will be installed with one mobile buffet. A total of 25 thousand water, masks, disinfectants and disposable prayer rugs will be distributed in the area.
• Toilets in Yenikapı, Gülhane, Sultahmet, Firuzağa, Kazlıçeşme, Eminönü Square will be kept open 24 hours; toilets will provide free service. The number of staff in these areas will be increased.
• Under the measures taken, Basilica Cistern will be closed for 3 days; Activities in Yenikapı, Sultanahmet, Kazlıçeşme Squares will be canceled.
