Bombardier company participated in the India Kanpur Agra Metro tender, which includes the supply of 201 subway vehicles and signaling works. All companies participating in the tender, which includes the train control system for the first stage, as well as the signaling, are as follows:
- Bombardier India - Bombardier GmbH
- BEML Limited - Hitachi STS
- Alstom India - Alstom Transport SA
- CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co. Ltd.
Four firms participated in the tender released by The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC), Chinese CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co. Ltd. firm was eliminated from the tender. Tender offers were evaluated on July 3, 2020. It is expected to sign a contract with Bombardier India - Bombardier GmbH, which gives the lowest price according to the tender offers.
201 subway vehicles expected to be produced in the modern factory in Gujarat province, which belongs to Bombardier India, will be equipped with ten technologies. The first vehicle delivery is 65 weeks after the contract date.
In addition to vehicle supply, signalization and vehicle communication systems will be provided by Bombardier.
