Production will increase with Begendik Bridge
Minister Karaismailoğlu also made a statement regarding the Begendik Bridge project, which will be opened by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with a live connection tomorrow. Begendik said that is important for both Siirt and Bitlis and Hakkari. Stating that the existing road has very low standards and difficult geographical conditions, Karaismailoğlu said, “It is a road between Siirt, Pervari, Şirvan and Bitlis in an area of 72 kilometers. A very technological bridge was built here. The middle opening of the bridge was made in the form of an inclined cantilever 210 meters. A bridge of 450 meters in total. Also, it is the highest bridge of our country with its height of 165 meters. ” Emphasizing that the project in question was completed under difficult conditions and that both the contractor company and the staff of the General Directorate of Highways completed the project with great devotion, Karaismailoğlu said, "I hope this project will come to life, peace will develop further in the region, production, employment, tourism will improve a lot."
“We add value to every point of our country”
Minister Karaismailoğlu said that investments such as Begendik Bridge are the enemies of terrorism and therefore terrorist organizations do not want these investments to be made. Expressing that the security forces worked with great devotion and expelled terrorist organizations from the region, Karaismailoğlu said, “They have no traces anymore, there is peace in the region. Despite all the obstacles, our projects end one by one. We have many projects in a region like this. ” Emphasizing that they have made a number of examinations in Cizre, Şırnak, Eruh, Şirvan, Pervari and Batman in the past days, Karaismailoğlu said, “We find peace as we make projects that add value to each point of our country. The road means employment, economy, trade. Trade and mobility in the region will increase significantly. ”
Ankara-Sivas YHT line will be put into service this year
Minister Karaismailoğlu also made a statement regarding major railway projects on a question. Explaining that they have tripled the capacity of Samsun-Sivas-Kalın Railway by completely renovating the capacity, Karaismailoğlu said that they have opened the Black Sea to Anatolia with this project. Stating that the renewal of old lines and planning of new conventional lines projects are continuing very quickly, Karaismailoğlu said, “The electrification and signalization works of our old lines continue on one hand. Besides, you know, our country has reached high speed train lines a few years ago and there is a great interest. In other words, our citizens who feel the comfort of the railway do not leave it. Ankara-İstanbul, Eskişehir-Ankara, Ankara-Konya are working hard. Hopefully we will put the Ankara-Sivas line into operation today. Besides, we finish our Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye, Gaziantep high speed train line until 2023, we are on its works. We continue eastward through Sivas, and we will connect Kayseri to the high-speed train line in the coming days. ” Noting that they will connect Bursa to Ankara-Istanbul high speed train line, Karaismailoğlu stated that this project will soon be awarded the superstructure tender. Karaismailoğlu stated that they aim to increase the length of the high-speed train line to 3 kilometers within 4 years and 5 years.
