When will the main and regional train services start?

Kamuran Yazıcı, General Manager of TCDD Tasimacilik, made examinations at the workplaces of Izmir Regional Directorate on July 27, 2020.

During the investigations, General Manager Kamuran Yazıcı was accompanied by Deputy General Manager Çetin Altun and İzmir Regional Manager İlhan Çetin.

The delegation headed by General Manager Yazıcı, who also visited the Alsancak Wagon Maintenance Workshop Directorate, Halkapınar Workshop Directorate, Halkapınar Loading Center, Halkapınar Loko Maintenance Workshop Directorate and Port Directorates, while meeting with representatives of non-governmental organizations operating in railways in Urla, Izmir Regional Directorate held a consultation meeting with the employees.

Addressing the employees at the meeting, General Manager Yazıcı pointed out that the business activities in İzmir have been expanding and said, “Our passenger and cargo transportation in the Aegean region is increasing day by day. Our Izmir is a tourism city, the world city, our export gate. While our freight forwarding, which ensures continuity of trade in the pandemic process, has been increasing, we stopped the flights of our main and regional trains. Hopefully, our trains will start to return to their normal course depending on the developments in the pandemic. We are looking forward to the Ankara-İzmir high-speed railway, which is under construction. We attach great importance to coordination in the realization of our business activities in the best, most beautiful, most efficient and effective way.
