Towards the End of the GAZIRAY Works: Tram Order Will Be Made Soon

Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin, together with his technical team, examined the GAZİRAY works that are currently continuing on the D-400 Highway, known as the historical Silk Road. Mayor Şahin stated that they have come a long way in GAZİRAY, which will carry 100 thousand passengers a day, and that they will order the trams soon.

Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin went to the field with her technical team, especially Latif Karadağ and Erdem Güzelbey, one of the Deputy Mayors of Metropolitan Municipality, in order to see the works in the GAZİRAY project. Meeting with the workers on the D-400 Highway and getting information about the latest situation, Mayor Şahin then went to Kalyon Junction, City Hospital location, Öğümsöğüt and Işıklı rural neighborhoods of Şehitkamil district and examined the asphalt and road works that are under construction and completed.

PRESIDENT ŞAHİN: WE ORDER OUR TRAMWAYS

Making a statement on the subject, President Fatma Şahin pointed out that GAZİRAY is a very important project for the city and said, “We are on D-400 Highway. We turn the train line in the Organized Industrial Zone, which will reach 100 thousand passengers a day, to high speed train. Now we swim, we swim, we come to the tail. Our last year. We order our trams. After a year, we will bring a very modern, comfortable, and environmentally friendly transportation to the city, and bring our total 1 thousand citizens, mainly our workers, to the industrial zone line. We also have a Station Square Collection and Distribution Line. We continue our work on GAZİRAY both on the light rail and on the metro. We are in a change and transformation of the city's infrastructure, superstructure and transportation. Therefore, while the D-100 took 400 kilometers from GAZİRAY, the asphalt on the highway was also very old here. It was an asphalt used for years. By contacting the highway, we also engaged in asphalt regeneration. These things are huge. It takes time. But the team is very strong. We thank the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Ministry of Transport, the General Directorate of Highways and my colleagues for their efforts. There is great coordination. I hope we will have finished all of these jobs before the schools are opened. We will have finished the GAZİRAY works with clean and new asphalt. ”

ŞAHİN: GAZİRAY OFFERED US THE OPPORTUNITY TO RENEW THE CITY ON THE SIDE

Stating that there are serious road renewal studies with GAZİRAY, Mayor Şahin said,Karşıyaka We have restructured 16 craft areas such as the tunnel. We continue to replace the pipes with the infrastructure. We also examined on-site our intensive work around the Mujahideen District, where the GAZIRAY workshop continued. Currently, approximately 15 million lira of large pipes are laid in the infrastructure in this region. The GAZİRAY project provided us with the opportunity to renew the city. We want our people to be patient in this process. Because we strive for a project that will ease transportation. GAZİRAY is the biggest issue of Gaziantep. Huge investments are made. These investments require both serious resources and patience. We want our people to be patient too. We will leave the D-1 Highway in 400 month and we will make the transportation ready for vehicles with zero asphalt. ”
