Work has been accelerated for the new station that Bursa Metropolitan Municipality will construct between Acemler and Nilüfer stations where the distance between the two stations is 2300 meters.
Continuing works such as road widening and new roads, public transportation promotion, rail system signaling optimization in order to eliminate the transportation problem in Bursa, Büyükşehir Municipality continues to improve its existing rail system line. In particular, new stadiums, hotels, hospitals, shopping malls, cafeterias, and the new station to be built between Acemler and Nilüfer stations to meet the needs in the region where the pedestrian mobility is intense have started again.
The project, which was tendered by Burulaş in 2015 and sponsored by Sur Yapı, 4 million TL, was suspended due to financial problems at that time. The Metropolitan Municipality, which takes into account the demands of the citizens who have difficulties in transportation to the region due to the distance between the novices and Nilüfer stations, is 2300 meters, and started the works again. Examining the works on site, Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that they aim to complete the new station in March next year.
There is a serious need
Reminding that the distance between the longest stations on the rail system line is in this region, Mayor Aktaş said, “A tender was made in 2015 by Burulaş in order to build a station that will meet the needs of our new stadium, hotels and shopping centers, cafeterias and recreation areas. However, after a while, the process was stopped due to the payment-related holding of the company, which was a sponsorship of 4 million TL, and due to the problems caused by the serious increases in the period. Of course, there were actually works done within the scope of the project. Well, foundation and curtain fabrications have been completed. Excavation, reinforced concrete productions, prefabricated beam manufacturing, station finishing works, station electromechanical works will be done. There is 31 percent material progress so far. We are starting the process again as of today. Although Allah gave some fortune, he finished this station in March 2021,
We will meet the needs of both shopping centers, hotels, stadiums and recreation areas in the region.
