Anayurt Caddesi, opened on the railway route between Ergenekon Bridge and Sivas Road, has been a project that suits Malatya. In this regard, I congratulate our Metropolitan Mayor Selahattin Gürkan and Department Head Mehmet Mert, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the worker. It was an important alternative for the Ring Road. This road route will greatly reduce the traffic flow on the ring road. Anayurt Caddesi will make the traffic density in the region where it is located more healthy. We support such projects that will decrease the traffic density of Malatya and we expect them to increase. The road from Horata Stream, which is also a level crossing on the road route, to Topsöğüt should be secured. This road route should be followed up to Eskimalatya by following the railway route. The project may be a new breath for the North of the city if it is possible to build up to Eskimalatya. ”
Stating that the southern part of the city has been neglected for years, Şevket Keskin said: “While we thank our Metropolitan Mayor Selahattin Gürkan about Anayurt Caddesi, we want and expect a solution to the traffic problem in the South region of the city. Unfortunately, the South of the city has great difficulties in terms of traffic density. The South Belt Road, which has been spoken for years, must be completed as soon as possible. Our citizens living in our neighborhoods such as TOKİ region, Başharık, Kernek, Yamaç, Beydağı, Paşaköşkü, Cemal Gürsel, Yavuz Selim Neighborhood also have great problems regarding traffic. Thousands of houses were built by TOKI, but the road in that area is still 50-60 years ago. Traffic increased, population increased, but the road did not expand. Especially, the road following the Derme Canal route should be made as befitting the standards as soon as possible. Citizens think that municipalities do not provide transportation services because contractors are not investing in the region. Roads and lighted streets were opened without contractors laying the foundation of the sites in the Karakavak region. Even a bicycle route was built for citizens living in Fahri Kayahan, but citizens living in the South of the city are looking for a road in traffic. In the Beydağı region, tens of thousands of people from Malatya use the roads between 50 and 60 years ago. Infrastructure investments of the city should be distributed equally and fairly.
