The fifth hearing of the case was held on June 25 at the Çorlu 1st High Criminal Court. Mısra Öz, who lost her son Oğuz Arda Sel in the massacre, made statements to the soL before the hearing and said, “Despite the two big years passed, we can say that the case is just beginning. We are still waiting for the expert committee and the discovery. Late justice is not justice. "We lived for a year or two where those responsible were not prosecuted and they were promoted on the contrary."

Öz said that they would struggle to prevent these massacres from happening again and to prosecute those responsible, and they expect the fair trial to be concluded as soon as possible without further distraction.

Öz reacting on the anniversary of the massacre by quoting the share of TCDD's social media account, said, “You have left a black stamp on the legacy of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with unfairness! Today is the day you killed 7 people, 25 of whom were children. You have never undertaken! You never even remembered these 25 people. Unutturmayacağız! " he wrote.
