Considering that the Hagia Sophia mosaics would be damaged by the light-dimming system, the rail curtain was decided. A documentary is being shot that explains that Hagia Sophia was not harmed during the conversion to a mosque to be given to UNESCO. The experts agreed that the frescoes and mosaics with the previously brought light technology and the screening method would be damaged, the 6.5-meter Theotokos and 7.5-meter Gabriel mosaics and the seraphim angels frescoes, which were visible from the ground floor, decided to be closed with an electronic rail system curtain that was opened only in prayer times and closed in 1 minute.

Efforts to reopen the Hagia Sophia Museum by converting it into a mosque have come to an end. Agreeing that the light technology to be used in covering the frescoes and mosaics inside the building would damage the thousand-year-old artifacts, the experts decided to cover the 6,5-meter-long Theotokos and 7,5-meter Gabriel mosaics and the seraphim angels frescoes with electronic rail system curtains only during prayer times. During the works, it was learned that a documentary was prepared to be presented to the international public as well as to be handed over to UNESCO, "declaring that Hagia Sophia was not harmed during its transformation into a mosque".

As part of the works to transform Hagia Sophia into a mosque, the frescoes and mosaics inside the building will be covered until July 24. The experts, who agreed that the light technology and curtain method that was brought up before, would damage the frescoes and mosaics, decided to close the 6.5-meter Theotokos and 7.5-meter Gabriel mosaics and the seraphim angels frescoes visible from the entrance floor with an electronic rail system curtain that opens in 1 minute and closes in 1 minute only during prayer times. It was noted that the curtain will be closed with the remote control during prayer times and will be opened for visitors as soon as the prayer is over. – Nationality
