Public transport in Paris, the capital of France, will be free to those under the age of 18 as of September.
Paris City Council took a new step after all the public transportation vehicles were made free under the age of 11 in December.
Accordingly, all young people and children who are under the age of 18 who have Imagine R and Navigo veterans and who are actively students will be able to benefit from public transport in the city free of charge. In addition, municipal bicycles in Paris will also be free for students under the age of 18.
Annual 350 Euro Contribution to the Budgets of Families with Children
The application will be valid in Paris city center and the entire tamamle-de-France region. The Paris City Council notes that this practice will cost the municipality 12.6 million euros annually. While the Council plans to prevent traffic and environmental pollution in the city in this way, it will contribute 350 euros annually to the budgets of families with children. (Euronews)
