Elevation Studies Started in Afyon Karakuyu Railway Tunnels

TCDD 7th Regional Directorate has started to work with the Ballast Screening Machine to increase the gauge tolerance in tunnels in Afyon-Karakuyu Line and to make it suitable for electrification gauge and increase the inside of the tunnel.

TCDD 7th Regional Director Adem Sivri visited the tunnel screening studies by making auto and pedestrian examinations between the technical delegation and Tınaztepe-Kocatepe stations. Sivri, who received information from the railway maintenance teams, emphasized the safety principle first.

In the studies, it is aimed to reduce the elevation in the tunnels with the ballast sieving machine and the ballast regulator machine.
