Continuing its projects that provide comfort for the transportation of the city, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is rebuilding the old and bridges that do not respond to the traffic density of today. The Science Affairs Department links the Ertuğrul Gazi District to the Uzunbey District in Kartepe district, and destroys the one-lane old bridge on Cumhuriyet street and rebuilds it with four lanes. With the modern 4-lane bridge to be built, traffic flow will be ensured without disruption.
THE SINGLE STRIPED BRIDGE WILL BE WASHED AND WILL BE BUILT IN 2 × 2
Within the scope of the study, the old one-lane bridge on the stream will be demolished after the bored pile work for the new bridge. The width of the modern bridge to be built will be 22,5 meters wide and 25,5 meters tall.
OVER THE BRIDGE WILL BE ASPHALTED
Road comfort will be provided by paving asphalt at the last part of the bridge construction. Also, within the scope of the works, barrier, auto and pedestrian railing manufacturing will be carried out on the bridge.
THE EXISTING BRIDGE WAS NOT ANSWERED
The existing single-lane bridge connecting the two neighborhoods could not meet the need for mutual passage of vehicles at the same time. Vehicles that wanted to cross each other at the same time had to wait for each other. With the new bridge to be built, four vehicles will be able to cross over the bridge at the same time.
