Doğuş Otomotiv published the 2019 Corporate Sustainability Report. According to the report, the main theme of which is "The World Redefining Values ​​and Those With Inspirational Sustainability", the company has made significant progress with its practices of social development, waste management and protection of the ecological environment.

In line with the processes related to waste management, 8 thousand 143 tons of CO2 emissions were prevented, carbon emissions from logistics operations were reduced by 42,7 percent compared to the previous year, and 713 thousand kWh of energy was saved with battery recovery. This figure corresponds to the electricity consumption of 3 thousand 407 households. Recycling of 5 trees was prevented by recycling paper / cardboard waste.

With the “Equality at Work” practices, Doğuş Otomotiv, where the number of female employees rose to 32 percent last year, aims to increase this number to 2025 percent in 40.

In the report, which includes Doğuş Otomotiv's practices and targets in the fields of environment and social development, ethics and governance in 2019, compliance with the targets within the scope of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals is also detailed. The global Covid-19 outbreak, which coincided with the reporting period this year, also includes what was done in terms of risk management in the company.

Providing many environmental benefits with the applications it put into use during the year, Doğuş Otomotiv prevented more than 5 thousand tons of carbon dioxide emission in the last 34 years thanks to waste management. With battery recycling in 2019, it saved a total of 3 thousand 407 kWh of energy, equivalent to 1 month of electricity consumption of 783 families. Thanks to the waste battery of 550 thousand 508 kilograms sent to recycling, the Company has 508 thousand 305 kg. lead and 105 thousand 50 kg. while ensuring the recovery of plastic, 851 thousand 101 kg. It prevented environmental damage by the neutralization of acidic water. The report contains information that preventing the cutting of 702 trees by recycling 315 thousand 280 kilograms of paper / cardboard waste that was sent to recycling, and 5 trees by recycling 360 thousand 222 kilograms of wood packaging, CO620 emissions from logistics operations were reduced by 666 percent compared to last year. was also announced.

Number of women employees rose to 32 percent

With the “Equality at Work” program, Doğuş Otomotiv aimed to both increase the number of female employees and to become more effective in decision-making mechanisms, and continued its efforts to increase the rate of female employees in 2019. Doğuş Otomotiv, which increased the rate of female employees to 32 percent last year and the rate of women on the board to 50 percent, aims to increase the rate of women employees to 2025 percent by 40.

According to the report, the Authorized Dealers and After-sales Service Centers reached 2019 percent of the entire Dealer network as a legal entity.
