Family, Labor and Social Services Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk stated that with universal health insurance, retired citizens have access to quality and sustainable health care.
Minister Selçuk made statements about the services offered to retired citizens. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk emphasized that the pension applications were received electronically and concluded quickly by the Social Security Institution (SGK). Noting that the retired citizens are provided with the opportunity to receive monthly from their preferred bank via E-Government, Selçuk also reminded that the pensioners who receive their pension via PTT are paid at their homes upon their request.
Selcuk, stating that the promotional payments made to retirees are deposited by the bank, “We reached an agreement with the banks about the promotion of our retired citizens for 2020-2022. In this context, our pensioners with a monthly salary of 1.500 TL, 500 TL, those between 1.500-2.500 TL, 625 TL and those with pensions above 2.500 TL have the opportunity to receive a promotion of 750 TL. ” he spoke.
“The lowest retirement pension 1.500 lira”
Minister Selçuk reminded that as of April 2020 payment period, the lower limit has been increased to 1.500 TL for file payments made for retirement, disability and death pensions. Minister Selçuk also stated that, before the Ramadan and Eid al-Adha, our retirees were paid a 1.000 TL holiday bonus, “We paid 12.4 TL for the 6 million retirement holidays each time. In this context, the amount of the holiday bonuses we paid has reached 1.000 billion liras. ” said.
Stating that the ratio of payments made to retirees to gross domestic product was 2002% in 4,6, this ratio increased to 2019% in 7, saying: “In December 2002 and July 2020, 72% of the lowest employee retirement pensions; Bağ-Kur pensions 168%; 46% real increase was made to civil servant pensions. ” said.
“We removed the social security support premium deduction, which was cut by 15 percent from the pensions of our retirees who were engaged in post-retirement business.” Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk said that they paved the way for retirees to be entrepreneurs during the retirement period.
Stating that they provide retired citizens with quality health insurance and access to quality and sustainable healthcare services, Minister Selçuk stated that the 20% rate of drug contribution applied to employees is taken as 10% for our retired citizens. Minister Selçuk also noted that all information, including the amount of pensions, place of payment, date, medication and examination fee, can be viewed via e-government.
