Austrian steelmaker Voestalpine has increased its international production capacities in the rail sector, through partnerships in China and Argentina, as well as the acquisition of the French railway truss plant SEI.L (Societe d'Equipement Industriel.Lietaert). strengthens its position in the market.

Stating that with the acquisition of SEI.L, the railroad company managed by the French government, SNCF (Société nationale des chemins de fer français) has become the main supplier, the company reported that France will make significant investments in the rail infrastructure sector in ten years.
