Statement made by Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya: “The main feature of the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, which is declared as a pandemic (epidemic) by the World Health Organization (WHO); physical contact, airway, etc. It is possible to prevent the spread of the epidemic by increasing the number of infected people and by increasing the number of infected people, the most effective way to prevent the spread of the epidemic is to decrease the social mobility and the contact between people, otherwise the risk of the loss of citizens as a result of the increase in the number of cases and the need for treatment is increased. in line with the justification of public health and public order and the recommendations of the Ministry of Health Science Board;

  1.   In addition to our obligation to wear masks in public areas and public sector closed areas of public institutions and private sector workplaces, it is compulsory for every citizen who goes to the streets in our city to wear a mask properly in the open areas to cover the mouth and nose.
  2.   Ensuring that the implementation is carried out completely within the framework mentioned above by showing the necessary sensitivity about the subject, imposing administrative fines for those who do not comply with the measures in accordance with the article 282 of the Public Sanitary Law, taking action in accordance with the relevant articles of the Law, Within the scope of article 195 of the Turkish Penal Code, the necessary judicial proceedings were initiated and their decisions were taken. ”
