Rector of Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) Dr. Ahmet Saim Guide, Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the leadership conferred on the Bursa Chamber, Turkey's first training center of the space-themed Gökmen Aerospace Education Center (I GUHE) visited.
University managers were accompanied by BUÜ Rector Ahmet Saim Guide, who conducted examinations in GUHEM, which was realized with the cooperation of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and TÜBİTAK under the leadership of BTSO. During the visit, BTSO Chairman İbrahim Burkay gave information to the Rector's Guide about the work at GUHEM. At the meeting held after the review, views were exchanged on providing scientific and academic support to the GUHEM project.
VISION PROJECT OF BTSO
BTSO Chairman İbrahim Burkay said that Gökmen Project is one of the vision projects they put forward when they took office in 2013. Expressing that the center has a closed area of 13 square meters, Mayor Burkay stated that GUHEM has 500 interactive devices of different qualities. Describing that there are interactive mechanisms on the first floor of GUHEM, which is designed as a two-floor, aviation learning and space innovation center, vertical wind tunnel, and modern flight simulators. He said information about the galaxies will be presented.
The center is counting days for opening
President Burkay, Turkey's national technology moves of the young generation in the direction to increase the interest in aerospace and order the best in Europe in the area of the center was implemented, while the world to be among the top 5 center noted that the target. Mayor Burkay said, “This place is getting ready to take its place among the world's leading centers with its rich content and award-winning architecture that adds value to urban identity. We planned the opening of GUHEM during the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day, but we could not open the opening due to the measures taken against the coronavirus epidemic. Rector of BUU Dr. Ahmet Saim Guide said, “I was really excited while reviewing GUHEM. This will be the center of our leaders in the aerospace and Turkey. Our BTSO President İbrahim Burkay has been offering vision projects since he took office. Like TEKNOSAB, BUTEKOM, GUHEM is a very important project that will add value to Bursa. I thank them for bringing such a perfect center to our city. ” said. Rector Guide added that they are ready to provide academic support for activities to be carried out at GUHEM as a university.
