Flights Started Fast at Milas-Bodrum Airport

As of this morning, scheduled domestic flights started at Milas-Bodrum Airport. 20 flights are arranged on the first day from the airport, where all measures against pandemic are taken.

Scheduled domestic flights started after a two-month break at Milas-Bodrum Airport operated by TAV Airports. Turkish Airlines and Pegasus launched flights from Istanbul and Ankara to Bodrum with the removal of travel restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic. The first flight from Istanbul was met with a water jug. Eren Aslan, DHMİ Chief Administrator Kemal Daştan, Bodrum Promotion Foundation General Coordinator Serkan Ceylan and airport employees welcomed the passengers.

TAV Milas-Bodrum Operation Coordinator İclal Kayaoğlu said, “We are happy to welcome our passengers and scheduled flights at our airport. We will have a quick start by serving a total of 20 flights on the first day. In this period, our priority will be to protect the health of our employees and passengers and to provide a comfortable travel experience while doing so. We have taken all measures for the certification of pandemic measures at our airport and completed the training of our employees. We hope that international flights will start in the coming days and we will welcome our visitors from all over the world, as in previous years, with a rapid recovery. We would like to thank all our stakeholders, DHMI, SHGM, and our airlines, local government and NGOs, under the coordination of the Ministry of Transport, which we prepared together in this process. ”

In line with the Airport Pandemic Precautions and Certification Circular published by SHGM at Milas-Bodrum Airport, directions and signs were made to help passengers and airport workers maintain their physical distances across the terminal.

The entire terminal was disinfected. All employees were trained and appropriate protective equipment was provided according to their fields of duty. Thermal cameras were installed at all entry points of the terminal to measure the body temperature of passengers and employees. Arrangements have been made to ensure that passengers can receive service at every appropriate stage without contact. In accordance with the circular, at the first stage, non-passengers will not be allowed to enter the airports, except for the compulsory attendance. Employees and passengers will be required to wear a mask at the terminal.
