IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, made examinations at Nurtepe Station of the Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey Metro Line. Stating that they planned to put the line into service on May 19, but the pandemic process did not allow this, İmamoğlu said, “A foreign company has been agreed with for the signaling system of the line. Unfortunately, the employees of this company, who also do that job, are mostly of Spanish origin and are managed from a center in Spain. Unfortunately, due to the Covid process, they were unable to provide this service as of March 3". Stating that there are other construction sites where the process causes such disruptions, İmamoğlu said, “We are sorry for this disruption, but it is not an unsolvable business; We will solve it quickly," he said.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlumade inspections at the Nurtepe Station of the Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey Metro Line, which is under construction. Citizens, who received the information that İmamoğlu will come to the station, showed affection to the President of the İBB from the balconies. Responding to the applause of the citizens by waving his hand, İmamoğlu went down to the turnstile floor. Here, İmamoğlu was given technical information about the works on the line by Pelin Alpkökin, Head of IMM Rail Systems Department. Alpkokin, the line, Besiktas and Kabataş He shared the information that the archaeological works at the stations were continuing with İmamoğlu.

"STATION IN RECENT EVENT SHALL COME been"

After evaluating Alpkökin's presentation, İmamoğlu said: “There is a subcontractor foreign company here. The signaling system has been agreed with that firm. Unfortunately, the employees of this company, who do the job here, are mostly managed from a center in Spanish and in Spain. Unfortunately, with the Covid process, they became unable to provide this service as of March 3. They had to leave this job site and return to their country. For almost 2,5 months, we cannot get this service. There are some local employees who do this service here, according to the contractor's firm. But of course this is a very inadequate study. As you can see now, the stations are completely over. In such an environment, the only shortcoming is signaling. The technical part is very important in such matters. In other words, it is not possible to open here without those tests and procedures. We are waiting for him right now; communication continues. Both the contractor firm and we continue the communication to bring it as soon as possible. We are in great effort. Since there is no clear answer, approximately 80 days and 90 days of testing should be spent here in terms of signaling. We are in a great effort to normalize and bring the employees here from Spain. As soon as we start, we want to receive the signaling service of our line and present this line to Istanbul residents as soon as possible. Otherwise we would be opening in May, we had such a sad event. We have construction sites and other projects where Covid has experienced such problems. We are sorry for this hitch. It is not an unsolvable business; we will solve it quickly. ”

INTENSIVE INTEREST FROM THE BALCONES

After the announcement, İmamoğlu, who went down to the platform floor with the accompanying delegation, was accompanied by Mevlüt Öztekin, the mayor of Kağıthane. İmamoğlu completed their review at the station, the citizen accumulated in the balcony, "We love you President, you have a good thing" was separated from Nurtepe words and accompanied by applause.
