Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has accelerated the construction of pedestrian overpasses at the points where pedestrian traffic is difficult and the safety of citizens is risky. In the regions where universities are dense, the Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of Science Affairs, which does not reject the demands especially from students, has recently started work on the construction of a new overpass on the Samsun Road, weighing 166 tons and a height of 5,5 meters.

The Department of Science Affairs, which took action following the instruction of the Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş to fulfill the requests from the students one by one, finally started the construction of an overpass on Samsun Road.
PRIORITY TO POINTS THAT UNIVERSITIES ARE INTENSIVE
The Metropolitan Municipality, which concentrates its studies in the university regions considering the demands of the citizens as well as the students, carries out overpass construction works by evaluating the curfew due to the coronavirus epidemic.
Under the coordination of the Department of Science Affairs, Metropol İmar A.Ş. The 2 walkways and 4 elevator overpasses constructed by Samsun University, on the intersection of Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Faculty, are built with a weight of 166 tons and a height of 5,5 meters.
