With the project implemented by the Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, painters from the capital are signing artistic works in many parts of the city. Painter Şenol Karakaya and his team provided the Elmadağ Entrance Bridge Underpass, Cinnah Caddesi Kuloğlu Underpass and the Elderly and Youth Information Access Center Underpasses with Ankara cat and tulip paintings.

The project initiated by the Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş and implemented by the Department of Urban Aesthetics, pedestrian underpasses, bridges and empty gray concrete walls; The artist Şenol Karakaya and his team meet with the drawings.

THE PROJECT CHAIRMAN STARTED SLOW

Artistic works created by the collaboration of painter Şenol Karakaya with the collaboration of 7 painters are also highly appreciated by the citizens.

Şenol Karakaya, who stated that they wanted to revive the capital's symbols by painting, gave the following information about the works:

“I am very happy to take part in this project, which was initiated by our Metropolitan Mayor Mr. Mansur Yavas in November 2019. We want to give people an artistic perspective, become a modern city and bring the art gallery to the street. Our president also wants Ankara to get rid of the gray walls. For this purpose, we take part in this project. By introducing artistic street designs, we aim to bring life to the cities and bring nature and colors to people among stone buildings. ”

The painter Rabia Karakaya, who painted the walls of the capital with his wife Şenol Karakaya, said, “Our aim is to bring people together with poppies when they go out to their balconies, windows and streets. Adding a visual feast to the city. We are realizing this project with the value that our president Mansur Yavas gives to art and artist. We are doing our best to make Ankara a colorful city by coloring the gray streets. ”

SYMBOLS OF THE CAPITAL REINVENTION

The painters that transformed Elmadağ Entrance Bridge Underpass, Kenan Evren Boulevard Underpass, Cinnah Avenue Kuloğlu Pedestrian Underpass and Elderly and Youth Information Access Center Underpass into a visual feast with their magic hands; It also includes the symbols of the Capital, such as the Ankara Cat, the Ankara Cigdem and the Ankara White Pigeon and the tulip.

Expressing his satisfaction with the coloring of the walls, the 61-year-old citizen named Kalender Akbal said, “A work worthy of Ankara has been started. We follow from the works that Mansur President gives importance to art. We live among concrete piles and we are opening up with these natural colors. Saying thank you to those who contributed, Sultan Akbal said that he painted as a hobby and attracted the attention of the paintings while passing through the underpass. It is also advantageous to have been made especially for underpasses because it was not noticed that there was an underpass when crossing. I also thank the President of Mansur for the value he gives to Ankara and the artists. ”
