Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) accelerated the work on the Ikitelli-Atakoy Metro Line, which was slowing down in the previous period. While tunnel excavations are continuing in the project, rail laying work is started in the completed tunnels.

İkitelli-Ataköy Metro Line consisting of 13.5 km and 11 stations; Starting from İkitelli Industrial Station of the existing (M3) Başakşehir - Olympic - Kirazlı Metro Line, it ends at Ataköy Station by following a corridor parallel to Basın Ekspres Connection Road connecting the TEM and D100 Highway. The metro, which will take between İkitelli and Ataköy in 23 minutes, can carry 72 thousand passengers per hour.
