Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli said that 19 national parks and 44 nature parks, which were closed to visitors due to the new type of corona virus (Kovid-249), will start to serve again as of June 1, 2020.

Minister Pakdemirli stated that the necessary precautions were taken by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks regarding the re-opening of protected areas that were closed to visitors within the scope of combating corona virus.

Expressing that the citizens who could not go out for a long time due to the corona virus and who stay at their homes can visit the national parks and nature parks as of June 1, Pakdemirli said, “Our protected areas are especially attractive for our citizens living in big cities. These areas will allow for entertainment, recreation and leisure time as well as its air, water, historical and natural beauties. In this context, 44 national parks and 249 nature parks will be reopened. ” said.

Minister Pakdemirli said that the necessary preparations are made for the maintenance and cleaning of the facilities in these areas for the citizens to visit the national parks and nature parks in peace without any mishaps.

Pakdemirli also reminded that the citizens should wear their masks and pay attention to the hygiene rules.
