AUTOMOTIVE FACTORIES ARE WORKING
Expressing that electricity consumption in OIZs has started to increase since the beginning of May, Varank said, “All automotive main factories are working. There are also recovery in textiles. The food, chemical, pharmaceutical and packaging industries have strengthened their strength with the epidemic. We regularly meet with industry representatives and OIZ administrations. As the Ministry, we focus on the steps to realize this potential. We will make our industry more resistant to all kinds of shock and keep it alive in all cases. ” said.
COVID-19 SCANNING ON OIZS
Noting that the other critical policy of the normalization process is the Covid-19 tests they initiated in OIZs, Varank said, “We are starting scanning tests in Istanbul, Bursa, Tekirdağ, Manisa and Gaziantep soon. We want to put this system into operation in all OIZs by the end of May. ” he spoke.

Explaining that they follow the leading indicators of growth on a regular basis, Varank said, “We monitor the data of industrial production, capacity utilization rates, manufacturing orders and electricity consumption in the industry almost instantaneously. Our main priority is to ensure a permanent recovery on the production front. ” said.

Touching on the Technology Oriented Industry Move Program, Varank said, “We designed an end-to-end support mechanism. We support buyer and seller at the same time. We will conclude the call we opened in the machinery industry soon. In the coming months, our program will be activated for other priority sectors.
