Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Ekrem İmamoğlumade investigations at two construction sites on the Anatolian and European sides, which continue to work on the curfew.
The first stop of İmamoğlu was the Sancaktepe City Hospital Station of Çekmeköy - Sultanbeyli Metro Line, which the previous administration decided to start in 2017 and stop in the same year and restarted them in November 2019. Emphasizing that they will continue their paths with partial openings on this line, İmamoğlu said, “The current location is Sancaktepe City Hospital Station. Therefore; We intend to train Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe City Hospital Station to 2022 ”. Having received information about the works from the Head of Rail Systems Department Pelin Alpkökin, İmamoğlu said, “Come on bismillah. May Allah make it complete” he pressed.

Reminding that Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe-Sultanbeyli Metro Line was tendered in 2017 and stopped by the decision taken at the end of the same year, İmamoğlu said, “Last year, we have provided an external loan of 110 million Euros and started this line in November. We have been working intensively since then. We immediately made a start from the station of Sancaktepe Municipality there. The TBMs that started from there continue to work under the ground in the direction of Çekmeköy. We made an important decision about the line here: We want to continue our way with partial openings. Our current location is Sancaktepe City Hospital Station. Therefore; We intend to train Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe City Hospital Metro to 2022. Our work in that direction continues. We think it will be an active line. In the following years, it has a feature that intersects with 3 other metro lines. We also care about this aspect. Bostancı-Dudullu will have the feature of being an intersecting line with Göztepe-Ümraniye and Marmaray. So it's an important line. He is very valuable both for Sancaktepe and Çekmeköy and very valuable for the City Hospital. ” Noting that they started the concrete pouring operations for Sancaktepe City Hospital Station, İmamoğlu said, “The site will be delivered very soon within a week or two. Imamoglu turned its route to Europe after the Anatolian side. When you come here from Çemberlitaş, the processes continue in front of the university in Beyazıt, in front of the Grand Bazaar. We act fast. We removed the car parking chaos here. Our friends continue to implement the other parking lot according to the current project. We want to transform the history of this place in a way that suits its texture. Now I see it going well in this order. Although there are minor discussions in several projects, I believe we will overcome them. I hope that by the end of this year, the front of Beyazıt Square, the front of Istanbul University will become very qualified with its landscape, seating groups and order. ” Reminding that the arrangement of Beyazıt Square was carried out in accordance with the project of the famous architect Turgut Cansever, İmamoğlu said, “We are in contact with the daughter, also the architect.
