A truck traveling in Mersin flew over the freight train from the bridge. While the truck dropped on the moving freight train into 4-5 tracks, the Russian driver was seriously injured in the accident.
According to the information obtained, the accident occurred on the Freedom Bridge Azat Bridge of the central Akdeniz district around 19.00 in the evening. The Russian license plate vehicle, which came out of control as a result of the loss of the steering of the TIR driver on the D-400 Highway, collapsed the bridge railings and fell on the freight train from 10 meters. The driver of TIR, who flies to the railway, was removed by firefighters from where he was stuck. It was learned that the condition of the Russian TIR driver, who was hospitalized by an ambulance, was severe.
Police launched an investigation into the accident.
