A Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Command was established in Cizre district of Şırnak, under the Gendarmerie General Command for Bayraktar TB2 type SİHAs.
In the statement made by the Minister of Interior Süleyman SOYLU, “We are opening our Gendarmerie Tactical UAV Unity Command in Şırnak Cizre. Good luck. " expressions were included.
In the Tactical UAV Command Command in question, Bayraktar TB100 type SIHAs, which have been delivered to Turkish security units by Baykar Defense until now, will be used. Gendarmerie actively uses ANKA-B and ANKA-S type Medium Altitude - Long Strength (MALE) class UAVs.
Bayraktar TB2 SIHA
Bayraktar TB2 SİHA can carry up to 4 MAM-L or MAM-C ammunition. The users of Bayraktar TB24.000, which can stay in the air for 24 hours at an altitude of 2ft; Turkey, Ukraine and Qatar. A total of 100+ Bayraktar TB6 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have been delivered to the Turkish Security Forces, 6+, 112 to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and 2 to the Qatar Armed Forces.
