So, we suggest taking simple but effective measures. ” said. Asking industrial organizations to pay attention to all the recommendations in the manual, if they want to produce safe and hygienic production at their facilities, Minister Varank said, “It will not only guide companies while fighting the epidemic. It will also ensure that companies comply with reliable and hygienic production standards that are needed by the post-epidemic period. We will audit the enterprises accordingly and give COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate in the form of an international quality certificate to those who pass the inspection. ” used the expression.

Noting that the certification to be made by TSE will bring important advantages to industrialists, Varank said, “In the upcoming period, this type of certification will become more prominent in international trade. More attention will be paid to whether foreign customers meet the hygienic conditions of the companies they are dealing with. Those who carry out production under safe conditions will also become the dominant of the market. We plan to expand this certification activity, which we will start with industrial facilities, to other sectors in the future; we want to put the sense of trust at the center of all economic activities. ” he spoke.

Minister Varank held a press conference at the Ministry to introduce the guide prepared by TSE experts and includes the measures to be taken in the fight against Covid-19 in industrial enterprises. Minister Varank noted that since the first days of the pandemic, they have been successfully fighting the virus thanks to the effective policies they have implemented under the leadership of President Erdoğan. Expressing that they take a dynamic approach in all areas of public administration with a total mobilization spirit, Minister Varank said in his speech:

OUR RED LINE: As the Ministry of Industry and Technology, we have expressed in every platform that our priority is the laborers in the steps we have taken in this period. In close cooperation with our stakeholders in the real sector, we prevent possible grievances. But while ensuring continuity in production, our red line was the health of the employees.

UNTITLED HEROES: Turkey, comes from the power industry. Industrial products comprise more than 180 percent of our 90 billion dollar exports. 5 and a half million laborers working in manufacturing are the nameless heroes of this success. We have endeavored to maintain this solid infrastructure in the best way possible during the epidemic process. The Covid-19 Hygiene, Infection Prevention and Control Guide reflects this spirit.

WE DRAW THE FRAME: In line with the course of the epidemic and incoming demands, we have never adopted an understanding of stopping production altogether. The guide we have prepared aims for industrialists in all sectors to have information about infection prevention and control procedures. The measures we have taken care of the health of employees, visitors, suppliers, that is, all stakeholders in industrial enterprises. We have drawn a framework that all our industrialists can easily apply.

DURABILITY WILL INCREASE: We provided a consistent and flexible approach in the guide. However, we do not impose high costs on companies. So, we recommend simple but effective measures. Under pandemic conditions, companies must strictly abide by these rules. However, if these rules are followed; The impact of the epidemic on production will decrease and disappear, the resilience of the real sector against the pandemic will increase, and with the improvement in foreign demand, our producers will get ahead of their competitors in the post-covid period.

SAFE PRODUCTION CERTIFICATE WILL BE GIVEN: This guide will not only guide firms in tackling the epidemic. It will also ensure that companies comply with reliable and hygienic production standards that are needed by the post-epidemic period. Industrial facilities will be able to apply to TSE if they meet the standards contained in the Manual and carry out their processes accordingly. The applicant will audit the enterprises accordingly and give the COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate in the form of an international quality certificate to those who pass the inspection.

IT WILL PROVIDE ADVANTAGE: This document will bring some important advantages to our industrialists. It will make employees trust their workplaces and contribute to productivity increases. It will encourage production suitable for human health and eliminate the questions in consumers' minds about hygiene and sanitation. In the upcoming period, this type of certification will become more prominent in international trade. More attention will be paid to whether foreign customers meet the hygiene requirements of the companies they deal with. Those who carry out production under safe conditions will start to dominate the market.

THERE ARE OTHER SECTORS NEXT: We plan to expand this certification activity, which we will start with industrial facilities, to other sectors in the future; We want to put the feeling of trust at the center of all economic activities.

“MANUFACTURERS SEE THAT THE MEASURE THAT IT TAKES IS WORKING”

Minister Varank, on a question about the latest situation in the Covid-19 test in the OIZs, said, “This was an application that the production facilities demanded from us. Covid-19 test for employees working in industrial establishments. Thus, no one has any doubt about ensuring a safe production environment. We are working here with our ministry of health, especially regarding the comfort of our workers. they just set up laboratories to serve the industry and test the samples taken. When we look at the test case rate, we can see a number at the level of 3 per thousand. This is very pleasing for us. Manufacturers are also seeing that the measures they take work, "he said.

“11 COMPANIES MAKE APPLICATIONS”

Minister Varank answered the question of what stage the applications are in the standards prepared by TSE for cloth masks:

As TSE, we have created and published our standards in order to decide which cloth mask to buy in the market, especially for the citizens, so that they do not have to worry. Companies producing in compliance with these standards apply to TSE with both facility information and sample products. After detailed laboratory examinations of these, they are given a TSE certificate of conformity. As of today, 11 companies have made their applications to obtain TSE certificates, some of them have completed the inspection processes in the production facilities, and laboratory tests of the masks have started.
