Many countries were caught unprepared for this demand and experienced difficulties. On the other hand, with the warming of the weather, the mobility that may occur in the tourism sector will increase the demand in the domestic market as well. ” he spoke.

Products with high added value, creative designs come into play

Expressing that the dynamic structure of the Turkish textile industry and the fast-moving reflex once again showed itself, Pınar Taşdelen Engin claimed that in a very short time, creative designs and functional products that do not hold bacteria and have different features will be seen on the market. Pınar Taşdelen Engin said, “According to the evaluation made by analysts, the global washable and reusable mask market is expected to reach a total market value of at least 8 billion dollars in 2020-2030 period with a stable annual compound growth rate of 4 percent. As an alternative to disposable masks, the transition to functional masks with antibacterial properties, washable, and even fashionable, will increase the added value in production and export 3-4 times. Considering that the pandemic will remain on the world agenda for a longer period, it will create an important export potential for our industry.
