Başkentray Ankara is one of the projects that contributed greatly to its inner city journey. With this project which is a total of 36 km, the integration of Ankara-Istanbul, Ankara, Sivas and Ankara, Konya High Speed Train projects in Ankara is provided.
The corridor time, which is 19 minutes between Ankara and Sincan, is shortened by 8 minutes on average and reduced to 11 minutes. With this decreasing time, it also decreases to 1 hour and 5 minutes when traveling between Ankara and Eskişehir. There are 36 kilometers of rails on this route, which is 184 kilometers in total. The project included 25 platforms, 2 highway overpasses, 13 highway underpasses, 2 pedestrian crossings and 26 pedestrian underpasses. TCDD Tasimacilik also considered the disabled citizens in this very beneficial suburban train project and integrated the systems that facilitate transportation for them into this train system. There are elevators and escalators at each station. Especially in Lale, Sincan, Yenişehir, Etimesgut, Mamak and Kayaş, where passenger traffic is intense, newspapers, books and food are offered to the passengers and an enjoyable trip awaits them. In the design of the Başkentray suburban train, technological systems that will instantly respond to every request of the passengers are used. At the stations, every need of the passengers has been considered and different services have been prepared for them.
