Cow Milk Collected in March Increased 4,7 Percent

The amount of cow's milk collected throughout Turkey increased by 4,7 percent in March compared to the same month of last year rose to 878 thousand 593 tons.

Turkey Statistical Institute, announced that data related to the production of milk and milk products in March. Accordingly, the amount of cow milk collected was 4,7 thousand 878 tons in March, up 593 percent year on year. In this period, the production of drinking milk by commercial milk enterprises rose by 16,1 percent and reached 145 thousand 282 tons.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the production of milk powder increased by 40,3 percent, cow cheese production by 12,2 percent and butter production by 1,2 percent in March.

On the other hand, cow milk fat rate collected by commercial dairy enterprises was determined as 3,5 percent on average and protein rate was 3,2 percent.
