Ankara Metropolitan Municipality EGO General Directorate will continue the social distance rule within the scope of "Summer Season Traffic Measures", which will be implemented between 1 June and 1 October. EGO General Directorate, which is preparing to serve at full capacity during the period when the use of masks will be mandatory, will also provide additional bus reinforcement to the regions where the density is experienced.

In Başkent, where the use of masks will be mandatory and the social distance rule will continue to be applied, full capacity service will be provided by meeting the occupancy criteria in public transport vehicles.
ALL PRECAUTIONS HAVE BEEN TAKEN ON EGO BUSES
Explaining that within the scope of the measures to be taken against the coronavirus epidemic, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will act according to the "Summer Traffic Measures" circular, EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş gave the following information about the new working order:
“Since the first time the pandemic, which has become a global threat, appeared in our country, we have tried to apply everything we can as the public authority responsible for public transportation in Ankara within the framework of the instructions of our Metropolitan Mayor Mr. Mansur Yavaş. We think we gave a good exam in this process. We have made all our preparations in this process, which we can call the new opening process as of June 1, within the framework of the statements of our President. ”
Stating that, with the normalization process, citizens take the necessary precautions to travel healthy, Alkaş made the following evaluations:
“With our 540 buses, we make 49 trips per day from 5 departure points and 8 bus zones. We have a fleet serving a total of 800 lines. We will continue to serve with all our capacity, within our current possibilities, in order not to cause any problems in terms of compliance with social distance. Not only we, but also the Private Public Buses and Private Public Transport Vehicles that we have permission and license will try to carry our passengers in the healthiest and in accordance with the pandemic rules by using their full capacity.”
TRIP HOURS UPDATED
Başkent residents, who will move to a step-by-step social life starting from June 1 in Başkent, will be able to use public transportation vehicles that are regularly disinfected.
EGO General Directorate, which made its preparations according to the circular for urban and intercity public transportation vehicles published by the Ministry of Interior, also updated the timetable. EGO General Directorate, which meticulously reviewed every detail in order for citizens to provide a healthy and comfortable transportation within the scope of coronavirus measures, updated the hours in ANKARAY and Metro Operations.
Stating that they will provide full capacity service not only in EGO buses but also in rail systems, EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş said, “We will use the largest capacity as much as possible in Rail Systems, which have a total of 1 kilometers along with M2, M3, M4, M64 Metro and ANKARAY in Ankara. . By increasing the frequency of flights, we will try to carry our passengers comfortably and in a healthy way in accordance with social distance, by giving more weight to the number of flights during the peak hours that we apply in normal periods. We made all our preparations. We ask the people of Ankara to trust us. We will be at Ankara's disposal with all our capacity,” he said.
ADDITIONAL BUS SERVICE TO HIGH DENSITY REGIONS
EGO General Directorate will also provide additional bus reinforcements in regions where there will be intensity in order to prevent the capital residents from suffering in any way.
Following the obligatory use of masks in public transportation vehicles, EGO General Directorate, which also distributes masks, shared the new update times in rail systems, which increased the frequency of trips as follows:
