Reminding that they are also examining the Mithatpaşa Tunnels, another project that closely concerns the Filyos Port, Karaismailoğlu stated that the tunnels are of great importance for the relief and development of regional transportation.
Karaismailoğlu stated that the vehicles coming from Ankara and Istanbul direction when the Mithatpaşa Tunnels are completed can pass through the Kilimli-Filyos Coastal Road route without entering the city, and said that the city traffic will be relaxed and a safer, short-term and comfortable transportation will be provided.
