In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation in the State of California, USA, $ 17 million was provided to 500 transportation projects.

The California State Transportation Agency announced this year that it has given a $ 500 million grant under the Transit and Intercity Railroad Capital Program (TIRCP) for greenhouse gas reduction and low-emission-oriented transportation network projects. According to the statement, 17 transit transit and railway projects will benefit from the fund.

The largest share of the fund will be the Bay Area Rapid Transit network with 167 kilometers of length, with 5 or even 45 stations.

Since 2015, TIRCP has financed $ 25 billion for 74 projects with a total cost of over $ 5,8 billion. The last $ 500 million grant was made for more than $ 2018 billion for transit and rail investments to be made between 2027-7. (the Enerjigünlüg)
