İzmir Metropolitan Municipality is preparing a hundred-bed facility in Ornekkoy for healthcare workers. "We owe a lot to our healthcare professionals and we will continue to do our best," said President Soyer, who went to the facility and examined the preparatory work.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues to support health workers who take the biggest responsibility in the process of preventing the spread of corona virus and treating patients. The Metropolitan Municipality, which rented two hotels and a dormitory to eliminate the possibility of healthcare professionals resting in better conditions and infecting their families, also allocated a facility owned by Ornekköy to healthcare professionals. The renovation of the building was completed in a short time so that healthcare workers could stay. Examining the work carried out at the facility, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer stated that since April 1, two hotels they rented in the city center and 180 healthcare workers have benefited from the dormitory in Balçova, and the facility in Ornekkoy will have a hundred beds.
Will Come Into Service In The Next Days
Underlining that the importance of healthcare workers, calluses and muddy boots are understood better in this period, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer said, “On the one hand, it is necessary to protect our health and also consider the post-crisis production. We continue our works in this direction. First of all, we want to make healthcare professionals comfortable. In order to enable them to produce their services without worrying, we tried to allocate areas where they can rest and stay without going home. We rented two hotels and a dormitory in the city center. Here, we will quickly repair this worn-out building, which is in our ownership, and make it available to our healthcare professionals in the coming days. If the capacity we created was full, I gave my friends the necessary instructions to rent new facilities in the city center. ”
Our Support Will Continue
Underlining that they will continue to support healthcare professionals, President Soyer said: “We are trying to support our healthcare professionals as much as we can. At the Vocational Factory, we make cookies and pies and deliver them to our hospitals. We will continue to produce whatever solution they need or come to our mind. They have the biggest duty for the next bright days of İzmir. We owe a lot to our healthcare professionals and we will continue to do our best. ”
